Boo and Henry’s BBQ® successfully showcased its 2023 product lineup, including its brand-new ghost pepper-infused Carolina Red Hot Mustard Sauce—an instant crowd pleaser, at the Fiery Foods & BBQ Show in Albuquerque, NM in March. Several of Boo and Henry’s BBQ products sold out at the show.
Billed as “the hottest show on earth,” the popular event attracted 14,000 “hot heads.” These food fans came out to sample some of the newest, high-heat products on the market.
“It is a joy to share our products that are so personal to me with those who have seasoned palates and go out of their way to discover new and authentic flavors,” says Boo and Henry’s BBQ Executive Pitmaster Daly Thompson.
Boo and Henry’s BBQ 2023 product lineup includes five sauces and two dry rubs:
“We care intensely about flavor, which the public is responding well to,” says Thompson. “Every product is formulated to bring out its authentic taste, instead of masking or overpowering them with salt and heat. Flavor always comes first!”
Product Versatility for Everyone and Every Dish
Thompson, whose 35-year career includes being a Los Angeles restaurant owner, five-star dining executive chef, and barbecue competition champion, appeared in several TV interviews about the event. He shared at-home cooking tips for viewers. In addition, Thompson highlighted recipes featuring the products’ versatility as everyday sauces and seasonings for any dish. View News Coverage
Just weeks before, Boo and Henry’s BBQ held a social media recipe contest in partnership with Melissa’s Produce. The contest challenged food bloggers to create everyday non-BBQ dishes using its barbecue products and Melissa’s fresh produce. As a result, dozens of creative recipes featured meat, fish, poultry, and vegetable dishes, and even desserts. All products are gluten-free, peanut-free, and soy-free, and the dry rubs, marketed as “Everyday Seasonings” are kosher and “less salty in taste.” View Recipes >>
Re-Branding Time-Tested Products
Boo and Henry’s BBQ products are time-tested, including its Memphis in May World Champion Sweet Mustard BBQ Sauce. Previously sold in Los Angeles BBQ restaurants under a different brand name, these award-winning recipes have been re-created as a tribute brand to family for purchase in retail stores nationwide and online.
Boo and Henry’s BBQ is a 2023 Scovie Award Winner for product taste and packaging, highlighting its in-store shelf appeal. The new label and packaging reflect a celebration of the rich tradition of barbecue flavors and gatherings, and the memorable moments they create.
